Nuria Sanmartín Ricart
Nuria was born in Quart de Poblet, Valencia. She holds a Degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona and a European Master’s Degree in Audio-visual Translation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is a sworn translator of German and has been an associate lecturer at the University of Valencia and the European University of Valencia. She is currently collaborating as a lecturer in the Master's Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation at the University of Valencia and in the Postgraduate Degree of Subtitling for the deaf and Audio-description for the blind in the University of Palermo, Italy. She is a certified linguist of the Valencian Television Network À Punt.
In 2000, together with two other translators, she founded her first translation company, In Other Words, in Barcelona, specialising in technical translation and software localisation. In 2009 she founded Interpunct Translations in Valencia, a company specialising in legal and technical translation, audio-visual translation and accessibility to audio-visual media (subtitling for the deaf and audio-description for the blind). In addition to combining teaching with translation, she is currently completing her doctoral thesis on the treatment of music in subtitling for the deaf.
Sabrina comes from Würzburg, Germany. She has a Bachelor's degree in Technical Translation by the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. She also has a degree in office administration. Sabrina manages the accounting department at Interpunct and works as a translator for the German language.
Albert Bellés i Chorva
Albert is a dramatist, translator and poet. He attended a BA in Translation and Interpreting at the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló de la Plana. Afterwards, he lived in London for a couple of years, where he attended an MA in Accessibility & Filmmaking at the University of Roehampton. He has worked as a translator and live subtitler for TVE. Nowadays, he works in the translation and accessibility field, whereas he is also involved in different dramatic projects, such as theatre plays, written and directed by himself. He's currently working in the dubbing and accessibility department.
Cristina studied Translation and Interpreting at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón. She did an internship at Interpunct, and she later joined the team as a translator and project manager. She's currently working in the dubbing and accessibility department.
Xavi Català is a Tao Yin instructor trained by the Tao Center in Madrid and teaches at different centers in Valencia. In Interpunct he teaches this Taoist discipline to children between 5 and 10.
